︎Audivisual Essays
This is the place to present pieces of audiovisual art made with and by the use of SILHOUETTE synthesizers. It presents the artistic core of the SILHOUETTE mission.
"Solo for Kino" - a Silhouette Revue
Debut performance on November 22th 2025, Kino im Sprengel, Hannover, Germany -
The idea to make a feature length performance playing a Silhouette Synthesizer had been there since 2017. But besides developing the audivisual Silhouette Synthesizer it took that long time to get an idea about the story I wanted to tell, in picture, sound, poetry and rhythm. The plot background is autobiographic and the media used in the individual acts uses disciplines of art and life I touched and used before: toys, puppets, machines, songs, poetry, audiovisual art, stages and audience. I wanted to implement a colourful variety and I tried not to limit my joy of combining and performing this. I wanted to show the Silhouette´s game on the 2D screen but also to play inside and with the room between the screen and the audience, to make it a room where a multifunctional installation tells a multimedial interdisziplinary story. "Revue" means a special kind of show but also an overview, a compilation of scenes, maybe even a row of memories revisited.00:07: Act 1: Room ("Zimmer")04:52: Act 2: Bombers10:06: Act 3: Drum and Eye Train ("Trommel und Augenzug")16:58: Act 4: HHH-Waltz ("HHH-Walzer")21:46: Act 5: Track-Man ("Schienenmann")23:36: Act 6: Petrol Station of Tears ("Tankstelle der Tränen")27:32: Act 7: (Encore): Fahrenheit
“J-Orbit-G” is a Silhouette-Dance-theatre-piece I did with Yoko Higashi (JPN/F), dance and voice and Lionel Marchetti (F), synth, FX, speaker setup and dramaturgy on May 24th 2025 in Hamburg at Papiripar-Festival. Yoko Higashi was the first human inside the audio wave, provided by the Silhouette Eins synthesizer.

“Wood Wave” is a piece which uses content made of fotos and movie sequences taken in the woods near my house, played with the SILHOUETTE EINS. The piece can be performed live (about 15 minutes long) or screened as an audiovisual film.
